# BBC Pundits Got It Wrong — And We’re Loving Every Minute!

Remember last summer when the so-called experts were writing us off? When 33 BBC pundits, their fancy AI, and Opta’s supercomputer made their Premier League predictions for 2025-26? Well, let’s just say they weren’t exactly queuing up to back Manchester United for a top-four finish!

And honestly, who could blame them at the time? We’d just limped to 15th place the season before — an absolute shambles that still makes my blood boil. The vultures were circling, the doubters were out in full force, and most pundits had us finishing mid-table at best. Some even suggested we’d be fighting relegation again!

Fast forward to May 2026, and guess what? **Third place. Champions League football. Michael Carrick nominated for Manager of the Season.** How’s that for a reality check?

Our Head Coach came in as interim back in January when the club was in crisis mode, and the man simply delivered. Eleven wins from sixteen matches. Beat City, Arsenal, and Liverpool. Turned a disastrous campaign into European qualification. The board saw what we all saw — a United legend who understood the DNA of this football club — and handed him the permanent contract he thoroughly deserved.

The turnaround has been nothing short of remarkable. Bruno’s been immense as captain, Mainoo’s emerged as a genuine superstar, and suddenly we’ve got belief coursing through the squad again.

So to all those pundits who doubted us — cheers for the motivation! We’ve been written off before and we’ll be written off again. That’s the price of greatness. But here’s the thing about Manchester United: we don’t stay down for long.

Next season, with Carrick having a full pre-season and Champions League nights back at Old Trafford? The real fun begins. Come on United! 🔴⚪⚫
