# Bruno Rattles the Woodwork as United Push for Early Breakthrough Against Everton
Reds, you know that sinking feeling when you see one fly towards goal and it’s just INCHES away from being perfect? That’s exactly what happened at the start of our Premier League clash with Everton as captain Bruno Fernandes smashed one off the crossbar in the early stages.
Our Portuguese magnifico, who’s been absolutely instrumental under Michael Carrick’s leadership, came agonisingly close to giving us the dream start we were all crying out for. The sound of ball meeting metal is never what you want to hear, but it showed our intent right from the kickoff. No messing about, straight at them, which is exactly the mentality Carrick has instilled in this side since taking the reins permanently back in May.
Bruno has been on fire recently, and you could see he was hungry for another goal. When he strikes them, you just KNOW there’s venom behind it. The fact we’re creating these chances early tells you everything about where this squad’s confidence is at right now. After securing that crucial third place finish last season and Champions League football for this campaign, there’s a real belief running through Old Trafford.
With the transfer window slamming shut this Wednesday and our Champions League adventure kicking off later this month against the likes of Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid, every point in the league matters. We need to be clinical when these chances come, especially at home where the crowd is right behind the lads.
That crossbar might have denied Bruno this time, but you just feel the goals are coming. The creativity is there, the movement is sharp, and with players like Cunha and Mbeumo now established in attack alongside Rashy and our captain, defences are going to have nightmares. Come on United, let’s finish what Bruno started!
