# Fernandes Chasing Trophies at Spurs? Good Luck With That, Mate!

Well, well, well. Tottenham’s latest summer recruit Matheus Fernandes reckons he’s joined a club ready to fight for silverware. Three games into the season, zero wins on the board, and he’s already talking about trophies. You couldn’t make this up if you tried!

The midfielder has credited Roberto De Zerbi as the key factor in his move to North London, convinced that Spurs are somehow on the cusp of ending their legendary trophy drought. Listen, we’ve heard this story before, haven’t we? Every summer Tottenham splash the cash, promise the world, and then proceed to finish trophyless while their fans argue that the Audi Cup counts for something.

Meanwhile, back at Old Trafford, we’ve got Bruno Fernandes captaining a squad that finished third last season under Michael Carrick and qualified for Champions League football. Our Portuguese magnifico is actually competing for real honours, not just talking about them in press conferences after winless starts to the campaign.

The contrast couldn’t be starker. While Spurs bring in players and fill their heads with delusions of grandeur, Carrick has built something genuine here. We’ve added quality depth this summer with Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos joining an already strong midfield, and we’re keeping our established stars like Cunha, Mbeumo and Šeško hungry for more.

Spurs can keep their optimistic new signings and their fancy rhetoric about fighting for trophies. We’ll stick with our Head Coach who delivered Champions League football, our captain Bruno who actually knows what winning feels like, and a squad that’s proven it can beat City, Arsenal and Liverpool when it matters.

Best of luck to Matheus Fernandes at Tottenham. Something tells me he’ll be waiting a while before he gets his hands on any silverware. Meanwhile, we’ve got European nights and genuine title ambitions to look forward to. That’s the difference between Manchester United and the rest.
