**United’s Statement Win: Three Takeaways From Sabah Demolition**

What a performance, Reds! Our boys absolutely dismantled Sabah 4-0 at Old Trafford in the Champions League, and this wasn’t just a win, it was a statement of intent for the season ahead.

Michael Carrick continues to prove the board made the right call keeping him on permanently. After dragging us from the depths of the Amorim disaster to third place and Champions League football, he’s now showing he can deliver on the European stage. This is the kind of performance that builds confidence and momentum for the bigger tests to come against Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and the rest of our league phase opponents.

The 4-0 scoreline speaks volumes about our attacking depth. With the likes of Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Šeško and Bryan Mbeumo all settled into their second seasons, plus the creativity of Bruno Fernandes pulling the strings in midfield, we’re looking absolutely lethal going forward. The new boys like Youri Tielemans are slotting in nicely too, giving Carrick plenty of options to rotate through this grueling new Champions League format.

Defensively, keeping a clean sheet is massive. Whether it’s Matthijs de Ligt marshalling the backline or Lisandro Martínez bringing that Argentine grit, we looked solid and organized. Karl Darlow in goal clearly isn’t fazed by the step up from his summer move either.

This victory sets the tone perfectly for what’s ahead. We’ve got seven more league phase fixtures, and if we can maintain this level of performance, we’re genuine contenders to finish in the top eight and secure automatic qualification to the knockouts.

The Europa League days are behind us, lads. Carrick’s United are back where we belong, winning emphatically in the Champions League. Let’s keep this momentum rolling!

GGMU!
