# Derby Day Arrives: United Ready to Face City at Old Trafford
Reds, this is what we live for! The Manchester derby is upon us, and Old Trafford is set to host our noisy neighbours on September 13 in what promises to be an absolutely massive Premier League clash.
Sky Sports have got the coverage sorted, which means fans across South Africa and the world can tune in to watch Michael Carrick’s men take on City in one of football’s fiercest rivalries. This fixture always delivers drama, passion, and bragging rights that last until the next meeting.
Remember what happened last time these two sides met under Carrick’s interim spell? Our gaffer masterminded a brilliant victory over Pep’s lot, one of three huge wins against the so-called elite that helped secure our third-place finish and Champions League qualification. That result showed exactly what this United squad is capable of when the big occasions arrive.
Now permanently in charge after his excellent 11 wins from 16 matches as interim boss, Carrick will be looking to prove once again that he can deliver when it matters most. The squad he’s working with has genuine quality throughout. Bruno Fernandes will be pulling the strings in midfield alongside new signing Youri Tielemans, while our attacking options of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Šeško give us frightening pace and power up front.
City might still think they own this fixture, but the mood around Old Trafford is different now. We’ve got a Head Coach who knows this club inside out, a squad that’s been strengthened smartly, and the momentum of Champions League football returning to Manchester’s true red half.
Get your mates together, sort the viewing party, and let’s back the boys. Derby day under the lights, the theatre of dreams hosting our bitter rivals. This is Manchester United, and this is what we’re all about!
