# England Complete Dominant Series Sweep at the Theatre of Dreams

What a spectacle at Old Trafford this week as England’s cricketers put on an absolute masterclass, thrashing Sri Lanka by eight wickets to seal a comprehensive 3-0 series whitewash in the T20 series. The lads have reclaimed top spot in the world rankings, and they did it at the most iconic stadium on the planet!

There’s something magical about Old Trafford, isn’t there? Whether it’s Michael Carrick’s boys tearing apart opposition defences or England’s cricketers dismantling visiting teams, our beloved Theatre of Dreams continues to be a fortress where greatness happens. The atmosphere must have been electric as the home side dominated from start to finish, showing the same kind of ruthless efficiency we’re hoping to see from United this season in the Champions League.

It’s brilliant to see Old Trafford hosting world-class sport at the highest level. The cricket team using our stadium to climb back to number one in the world rankings is the kind of winning mentality we want associated with every aspect of this club and this city. Manchester is red, and it’s a city of champions across every sport.

Fair play to the England cricket side for putting on such a show. An eight-wicket victory to complete the clean sweep is proper dominance, the kind of statement performance that leaves no doubt about who’s boss. That’s exactly the swagger we need from our football team when they face Bayern Munich in the Champions League league phase next month.

Let’s hope this winning energy at Old Trafford transfers straight to our lads. With Carrick building something special and our squad depth looking stronger than it has in years, we’re ready to make our own statement on the European stage. Glory, glory Manchester United!
