# CARRICK SPEAKS: “MY FUTURE WILL BE DECIDED PRETTY SOON”

Right, Reds — this is the moment we’ve all been waiting for!

Michael Carrick has finally broken his silence on the contract situation that’s had every United fan refreshing their phone every five minutes. Speaking candidly, our interim Head Coach confirmed that talks are ongoing and a decision on his permanent future will be made “pretty soon.”

Let’s be honest — this shouldn’t even be a conversation anymore. The man has been absolutely sensational since taking over in January after Amorim’s disastrous spell ended. Eleven wins from sixteen matches? Beating City, Arsenal AND Liverpool? Dragging us from mid-table obscurity to third place and Champions League qualification? What more does he need to do to prove himself?

The board needs to get this done NOW. Omar Berrada and the INEOS hierarchy have made plenty of bold decisions since taking charge, but this one’s a no-brainer. Carrick understands this club in his bones. He’s brought back an identity we’d lost, got the best out of players like Mainoo and Garnacho, and reconnected the squad with our supporters. The atmosphere at Old Trafford has been electric under his watch.

We’ve been burned before by hesitating on managerial decisions, flip-flopping between styles and philosophies that never quite fit. Carrick bleeds red — he knows what it means to wear that badge, and more importantly, he’s shown he can deliver results when it matters most.

The uncertainty needs to end. Give him the contract, back him in the transfer window, and let’s build something special for 2026-27. We’ve got Champions League football back where it belongs, and with Carrick at the wheel, the future finally looks bright again.

Come on United — make it official!
