# Carrick Eyes Major Squad Overhaul with Five Summer Signings

Michael Carrick isn’t messing about, Reds! Our gaffer is reportedly pushing for FIVE new faces this summer as he looks to stamp his authority on this United squad and get us back where we belong.

After years of watching the club stumble through half-baked transfer windows and panic buys on deadline day, it’s refreshing to see a manager who actually knows what this club needs. Carrick understands United DNA better than anyone – he bled red for over a decade as a player, bossing that midfield alongside legends. Now he wants to build something special from the dugout.

Let’s be real, the current squad needs serious reinforcements. We’ve got quality in patches, but there are gaping holes all over the pitch that have cost us dearly this season. A commanding centre-back who can actually defend set pieces? Desperately needed. A proper defensive midfielder who can shield the back four and spray passes like Carrick himself used to? Absolutely crucial. And don’t even get me started on our need for clinical finishers who can convert the chances we create.

The fact that Carrick is being ambitious tells you everything about his vision. This isn’t a man content with scraping into the Champions League spots – he wants to challenge for silverware. That’s the United way. That’s what we demand as supporters who’ve watched City and Liverpool dominate for far too long.

Of course, the real question is whether the board will back him properly. We’ve heard big promises before, only to end up with panic loans and overpriced flops. But if the club genuinely backs Carrick’s judgment and gives him the resources to rebuild, we could finally be looking at a proper reset.

The summer window can’t come soon enough. Let’s hope the Glazers open their wallets and let Carrick cook – because if anyone deserves our trust, it’s a United legend who knows exactly what this badge means.
