# Everton Away: Another Tricky Test for Carrick’s Reds

Here we go again, Reds. Another trip to Goodison Park (now the Hill Dickinson Stadium, fancy that) and you just know it’s never going to be straightforward, is it?

The lads are coming off a frustrating start to the campaign, already using up our margin for error with a defeat on matchday one. That’s the last thing you want when you’ve got a absolutely brutal run of fixtures staring you down. And with the Manchester derby looming next week, this feels like a must-win situation.

Michael Carrick has done brilliantly to get us back into the Champions League with that incredible run last season. Eleven wins from sixteen as interim, beating City, Arsenal and Liverpool along the way, that third-place finish was nothing short of remarkable. But now the hard work really begins. This is his first full season as permanent Head Coach, and the pressure is on to prove he can sustain that momentum over a full campaign.

The squad looks strong on paper. We’ve brought in quality reinforcements this summer with Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos adding depth in midfield, and Karl Darlow providing experience between the sticks. Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte should dominate the middle of the park, while we’ve got genuine firepower up front with Marcus Rashford, Benjamin Šeško, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo all fighting for places.

But Everton away has always been a proper scrap. The atmosphere will be hostile, they’ll be up for it, and we can’t afford another slip-up. Not with Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and the rest of Europe waiting for us in the Champions League league phase starting this month.

Come on United, let’s show what we’re made of. Three points, nothing less, and then we’ll worry about that little derby next weekend. Glory glory!
