**Carrick Calls Out Critics: “Ridiculous” to Question His Position**
Michael Carrick has hit back at the doubters, and quite frankly, it’s about time someone said it. Our Head Coach has branded speculation about his future as “ridiculous” and insists United’s recent wobbles are far from catastrophic. And you know what? He’s absolutely right.
Let’s get some perspective here, Reds. This is the man who stepped up in January when everything was falling apart under Amorim. Carrick steadied the ship brilliantly, winning 11 of 16 matches as interim boss and delivering some absolutely massive results. Beating City, Arsenal, and Liverpool in the same spell? That’s not luck, that’s quality. He secured third place and Champions League football when many had written off our season entirely.
Yes, we’ve had a bumpy start to this campaign, but the overreaction from certain sections of the media has been absolutely absurd. Carrick earned his permanent contract in May for a reason. The board backed him until 2028 because they saw what he could do when the pressure was on. Omar Berrada and the INEOS hierarchy aren’t fools.
We’ve got quality throughout the squad now. Benjamin Šeško, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo are settling in nicely after their first season. The summer additions of Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos have added depth to the midfield. With Bruno Fernandes pulling strings, Kobbie Mainoo developing beautifully, and the Champions League league phase about to kick off against proper European giants, there’s plenty to be excited about.
Every top club goes through rough patches. That’s football. What matters is how you respond, and Carrick has already proven he knows how to turn things around when it counts. The doom merchants need to pipe down and get behind the gaffer. We’re Manchester United, and we don’t panic after a few difficult results. Trust the process, back Carrick, and let’s see where this season takes us.
