# Injury Blow: Fernandes and Dorgu Pick Up Knocks During International Break

The international break has struck again, and this time it’s hit us right where it hurts. Bruno Fernandes and Patrick Dorgu have both picked up injuries while on Nations League duty, joining what’s becoming an alarmingly long list of casualties from this round of fixtures.

Our captain Bruno going down is particularly concerning. The Portuguese maestro has been absolutely vital to everything Michael Carrick is building this season, and any spell on the sidelines could seriously disrupt our rhythm as we juggle Premier League, Champions League and cup commitments. Bruno’s been the heartbeat of our midfield for years now, and losing him even for a few matches would be massive.

Dorgu’s injury is equally frustrating. The young forward has been settling into life at Old Trafford, and interruptions like this are the last thing he needs when trying to establish himself in our attacking setup alongside the likes of Cunha, Mbeumo and Šeško. These international breaks are supposed to be about building momentum, not losing key players.

What makes this even more maddening is the timing. We’re only at Matchday 4 in the league, still finding our feet under Carrick’s guidance with the INEOS restructuring taking shape around us. The last thing we need is players returning from international duty broken or burnt out.

Liverpool’s Gakpo also got injured, which obviously affects our rivals, but right now I’m only worried about our own situation. We’ve got serious squad depth with players like Tielemans, Baleba and Mainoo in midfield, but there’s only one Bruno Fernandes.

Let’s hope the medical team can work their magic and get both lads back quickly. We need everyone fit and firing if we’re going to compete on all fronts this season. Come on United!
