# Red Devils Women Finally Get Off the Mark!

Brilliant news from the women’s side, Reds! Our United Women have secured their first WSL victory of the season with a crucial win over West Ham, and you can feel the relief and excitement radiating from Leigh Sports Village.

After what must have been a frustrating start to the campaign, Marc Skinner’s side showed exactly what they’re capable of when they click into gear. West Ham arrived knowing they could cause problems, but our girls weren’t having any of it. This wasn’t just about getting three points on the board, this was about making a statement that Manchester United Women mean business in this division.

The WSL is absolutely relentless these days. Every single match feels like a battle, and dropping points early can put you on the back foot before you’ve even got going. That’s why this victory is so massive for the squad’s confidence and momentum. You could see what it meant to the players, the coaching staff, and the supporters who’ve backed them through thick and thin.

What’s brilliant about our women’s team is they never stop fighting. They’ve built something special over the past few years, consistently challenging at the top end of the table and refusing to be intimidated by the so-called bigger names. This win against West Ham could be the spark that ignites their entire season.

The whole United family should be celebrating this one. While Michael Carrick’s men are navigating the early stages of the 2026-27 campaign with Champions League football back on the menu, it’s fantastic to see our women finding their stride too. Both sides wearing that famous red shirt with pride, both determined to bring glory back to Manchester.

Here’s hoping this is just the beginning of a strong run of form. Come on, United Women!
